Memory versus Learning


From times to times I meet someone who is very proud to know by head a lot of information.

But how much this is usefull?

This is an article where I do a mix about corporate software development and the occult study areas as I have told for some years, I found my work to be a whole at all.

Ok. If your company dislike because I love to walk at mountains and nature places there's no problem. People have personal lives. And my work as any other professional worker is what I do for life and to help companies growing.But personal interests are not of your business most of times and we observed any skilled talents in the market have other areas of interest to add to their experience and skills.

So we have a lot of information we receive in life, plus all training and experiences. This is what make us reach levels of expertize and being able to solve our work needs.

So there are many levels. Some will do only the basic, others will be able to work alone, others will be able to create and to do. Some others will lead and teach others. And few will reach the "wisdom level".  Each company need all of them.

I fully agree with this quote cited as being from Einstein:

“Never memorize something that you can look up.” - Albert Einstein"

My comments:

For sure at school and university and some level exams you need to know for each area, a lot of information. 

And for times ahead, for example, if you chose an area like Medicine. A doctor must know a lot of principles related to so many areas and be able to identify the most symptoms as fast as possible.

One way to do it is often review your study and reread even old books. Our memory is a machine and need be oiled, Ok? So is very good to add new material, but also give a look even at some very basic materials. And as a book lover, I had many old books I reread sometimes.

Uhm, well, that is what we expect from most doctors and the really good ones can do it. 

But not all times. The purpose is to understand the information you get and develop your own expertise.

With time you have to be able to know how to use it. Keep what is important, have the main principles and understand what is needed to develop it.

Even the character Dr. House from the TV series who was really brilliant needed to search for information. 

My "uncle" Mr Spock was so brilliant but many times had researched for information too. Star Trek fans will remember he was too often at the computer researching, but other times at his personal place meditating and working on yourself.

Ok. There are the information needed and at what is needed to know about to deal with it. 

To me, the important is not how much information you can keep at mind ready to call it at once.

The important is if you is able to use it. To know how to use it!

Even some occult orders appears to pay atention to how much information you can have at mind.
What?
Uhm, Ok, for sure the good ones have people skilled to just talk with someone and to be able to see who is who.


But what the difference this have to any professional area?

To me, none.
For companies, a leveled professional must talk with someone skilled for just few minutes for a match. No stupid basic school test as some still does. Most of times that is rude.

Sorry friends at any of such groups as I've been able to talk with any people at any of my work areas in respectful ways at all levels.

What some are looking for? 

I'm sad to comment, I had talked with so many people who work in a way to make sure their companies will broke soon.  They do not look for a wide scene.

Ok, about to know. A simple example: you may know how to do a very nice better barbecue? Great!!! Please, invite me, I'm a very bad at cuisine!

Anyways, I still know the theory about how to make the fire and the meat, but most of you just are better at the cuisine. LOL...

Information is only data. Useless without the expertize for practice. 

A scholar is someone who love research. A scientist, some skilled software developers, a medicine doctor and many others.

And many scholars don't know all that information by head!
Get this? If you visit a scholar at work most for sure you will see a lot of books for reference opened around. Just for curiosity, now I have nine books plus printings and notes around me I'm using this week. Plus usually a dozen tabs opened at the internet browser for references I'm looking for. They will be back to the stand but next day I get more up the tables.

So well, why I became a writer?

For sure not because I know everything by head!

I use to say I become a writer because I don't like to remember too much things, no matter the expertise I may develop on it. 

And why? Just because I know where I can find the information I need.

I may write about computer development work, a fantastic fiction tale or something about the occult or my experiences on human development. 

What I really need is to know what to do. Dot.

Despite some capability to write since early age, my first formal article came to public only in 1986.

It was a ten pages article for for a local Computerworld journal (The DataNews Journal), about advanced software development of online systems (CICS/VS) for IBM mainframes. A high level technology and was ten pages at first. Wow! Guess how I felt! And the publisher did a lot on the Ads... LOL... 

But how I started that about writing? 
Just doing what I do almost all days since I remember. I always used to read a lot and was saving information and taking notes about my study. 
How many people goes to the bathroom with a 300 pages computer manual or an occult book? I was one since the 70s.  
And there was a lot of big books to study. Not only one, but usually a dozen each with 300-400 pages to read just for one area. And the need for practices few have did. 
Any  coincidence with occult area? Just to cite as you become better at some area, this will help to the others areas too. Need discipline and practice.

Computers to me always was related with the occult. And no mysticims about.  Just is something you need to go deep and try a lot, have errors and learn from that.


Both areas goes deep into realms with a wide knowledge to explore. 
And you can use your imagination to develop a personal method to work.


 
For sure I have a lot of processed information in my brain, but I have no memory about working only by head in life, but always working with all much I was using at time plus the need for references. 

And may be you do not know, astronauts who went to the moon had manuals to use all the time. They was real heros!
I remember to see photos of the Nasa people, all the team, doing trainings seated at the floor, not nice rooms, they was on extreme pressure and have to get the information as soon as possible, and put it in practice.
Just to remember, most of photos you will find about that missions had most seniors professionals, working hard, not only fashion teens as we see at many company profiles.

Learning about the jungle is very related with many practical aspects of business. Are you able to continue despite the worst troubles?


So I found at some time, I had so many information collected to become an article and started to publish. This is how it started. Collecting notes. And I never stopped.

The result from that article was interesting. I received a lot of letters from all major companies in my country while my boss (who had a copy of the journal in his desk) tryed to ignore it because he knew my salary was not so good... (LOL...) and used to recognized me after being called due costumers... I was a big reference in the market that time....  
Funny but true. 

Ok, I was not after his aproval. The first is my own. And a hundreds of good ones had returned too.  

This have happened to my softtware professional area and at the occult areas.

Remember, I use to say I see my work very related to all these areas. Human kind evolution and computers.
Sometime we will have a development level very advanced. Many are just Sci-fi for now. 

I'm not against yours approval of this or that.

A main point if you have a work you know to be true and work for it. 

Not all people will agree with you. 

And many will question what you are doing in all possible ways. 

And the first way I point all times is: I'm not a scholar! I'm a practictioner! 


What your company pay atention for? To know or just only know the current fashion tool? 
To just obbey orders or have oppinions to create and make your company grown?

There's not much difference using tools from centuries or the internet fashion tools.

Sorry people, I won't appears in a chat and be ready to talk by mind an entire text from an old grimoire or whatever on technology. 

Nor I will be able many times to present by head a work about a computer software among dozens I've worked. But I can talk by myself at any time and if I have few hours to get into something new or not it may surprise you.

I work to learn and develop about how to do it at my areas!

I love Juan Manuel Fangio as a big example. 
This guy had not automatic machines. He driven F1 cars in brute. No computers. No fantastic machines. Just a man and the tool he chose.

This guy for life, until dead, received each week visitors, the best pilots of the world, and guess for what? Just because he was knew as being a Master in his work. The most famous pilots came into him to learn and give respect. In practice, he worked his entire life. 

I will repeat this to so company leaders: Juan Manuel Fangio was visited until his dead by people who came to learn with him how to drive. They never was against the tools. 

If you pay atention for the tools only, you are ready to become a looser. 

Like a company where they only goes after costs. They will broke soon for sure. 

Creativity, being produtive is the first. 
Never, but never about having some information by head. 

You must to know how to use it.. 



Any good pilot will be ready to learn and drive a machine. Get this company managers? A decent professional must know what to do. The tool is only the way we may use.

So I will be able to comment at instant about how things work. 

If I need a phormula, I know where to get it. 
At internet times we have lots of sources. One must be able to filter all bulshit, find the best forums, and for sure, look for the best authors and books. 

When it is some tool I have not worked, I will be ready to recognize what I need to follow on that. 

This is Learning. 

I don't pay a f*ck if someone only know the current computer software tool. This is not so different from dozens I had used in deep for years. 

Remember when Nokia had to admit they lose their creativity near to broke? Hummm?? I had an article in 2009 about intrusions on people life many years before that is a critical reason to loose profesionals. A senior manager commented in public article to prefer hiring a criminal instead a smoker so I had to comment about some human and company aspects. Real talents have a real life. But if your company chose a raper, a murder or any other criminal because dislike someone personal interest, well, pay the price and I really wish that won't affect your family. Or better, remember you have a family. 

And going into the occult, want to learn another Grimoire area? What you need to follow? The Great Art is also named The work of God. This means standarts to follow, discipline, brain work, not became a saint, Ok?

And if this is about occult, there are a lot to do, and I will follow that for the needed time.

Memory is good to immediate needs, like the ceremonial rituals you are working for many time. 

But just to know phrases by head never, but never is the same as to know how to deal with that. 

I'm always far aways from the ultimate goal,

But I'm always sure about what I want to do and with some decent idea about how it can be done and most of all, be ready to discover a new way for that!

A Spell Prayer To Help Innocent Beings.

I do not use to post spells, maybe there are one and other in the middle of some previous posts, but this is a good one to people who work to help innocent beings and related areas.

These days there was a debate about if witches use black magick or if any magician may use magick when needed.

In my point of view, I use magick against criminals. Dot.

For sure a lot of people use it for anything.

First of all, I’m not a universal ruler.

I’m a Buddha of Compassion.

But you will find even compassion is not infinite. Uhm?

Compassion is not the same as mercy and infinite forgiveness.

Some people have to be stopped in their actions so that they can take the time, whatever, to review what they have done and have a new opportunity to learn.

If someone strikes you on one cheek, show the other side and that is the side of the action. IMHO!

See, in my point of view, Jesus did not say that you should just be beaten.

If you have a better hand, this should be used.

The Protection for Innocents

This is something I learned from Lucifer, Aradia, and Diana a long time ago, in 1998. 
That time I was on the need to protect children from very closer extreme sex abuse by her father! That was really bad and this way to work with Mothers of Universe came during a ritual and Lucifer showed me what to do.

It is one of the most powerful energies I have found to protect when it involves innocent beings. This includes children, pets, any animals, families, and even groups under extreme affliction because cruel people acting over them.

So, think this is very suitable for cases of extreme cruelty.  

In these cases, the source of the attacks are criminals or people who actually feed on the evil they do.

This includes all kinds of criminals, charlatans, corrupt ones, perverts, fanatics, etc. anyone who can seriously hamper their victims just by pleasure or just for feeding on evil.

People like murderers, pedophiles, some gangsters and charlatans, anyone who is really doing evil for the sake of evil, not just common “bad people” or disrupting ones. This includes the ones who will do big harm against people just because money or to get pleasure from what evil they do. 
As a note, this ritual can help against intrusive spirits attacking the innocent ones.

Mom Help Me!

Therefore, in these cases, you can invoke the help from "All Mothers of The Universe".

The idea is like follows: in the natural world, the most dangerous place is that between a mother and her puppy. Think a mother wild dog (the picture posted) and her puppy.

This works for any mother and her puppy.

So if you really need help against criminals, hard enemies, against those who are actually really doing wrong and evil, call the Mothers of the Universe.

You must be calling from the “right one's side” for sure.

Get this: you must be on the right one's side to deserve their help OR they will give you a lesson you will never forget. This is not a spell for the sake of evil and never but never just for compassion. They will claim “what is really right”. If you see a lioness mother forced to abandons a seriously injured puppy you will get the idea. Sorry, I have many cases.

Coming back to the nice picture, remember, you are calling “Mom” for help.

Even shouting "Mom help me!"

Because my formal family tradition, I always called first by the Holy Virgin Mary asking her to bring all other mothers together, but whatever your tradition, call the Mother you know more and ask her to bring together "all the others mothers of the universe" to help in the matter.

Use only a candle so it can be lit in your temple for a very personal case. 
Yes, I did it at crossroads too. 

If you think about an offering, always powerful at magic, the best of all is your sincere tears, and you can anoint the candle with that, your own sincere tears. And no problems if the candle is already light. Just put your tears at the candle.

When in need to help other people who live in another place, I prefer to go to a crossroads, or a place close to nature, like the woods.

Remember, the mothers are in all places, so you can listen to your intuition.

This is a work of Love.

If you are from the Catholic church it is Ok. Mother Mary will be glad to hug you.

Or at your Egyptian temple. Mother Isis (Auset) is full of Love to protect the children!

In the highest realms of nature, a mother is a mother and has an inner sense to protect any puppies!

Glad to TV and the Internet, you will found lots of material about an animal adopt and save a puppy from any of a different race. I will never forget a dog who adopted chicks puppies.

So this is a work to be done when the blood got boiling on extreme compassion, with a full heart and not being out of mind for sure.

Also, most of the time when I called for their help, for some reason I felt a deep calling in my soul, just a stronger need for it. And the resulting calling has been done really shouting as I got really furious and on the need for help from the Mothers. Well, there was the time when it was so urgent I found myself shouting for their help even at daylight with a lot of people around in the street.

Uhm, for sure use this spell with discretion. Not all people want to be exposed. However, where I live people know who I am, and with some talk, they understand I will not do evil at the same place where I will walk. 
To understand this is not an evil spell. It is strong protection that will even act to protect many others around. Each case is different. 

Just for a repeat, this is not something to use at any time. Be respectful. 

Nevertheless, when you feel deep in your heart the time has come, the Mothers will be with you.

I repeat, don't mess with a mother protecting a puppy!

Alex Sumner in a recent article commented about Cybermagick: Let’s Do Cyber!

So there I was, lying awake at night, tortured by that most exquisite of agonies – “what the hell is Cybermagick?” And more to the point, what is the real difference between cybermagick and any other type of magick?

 

It’s a very interesting work, and I will try to do some adding my comments.

We still lack of a proper definition of what Cybermagick really means.

Technomagick? EletronicMagick?

Uhm. 

Cyber means something “…relating to, or involving computers or computer networks (as the Internet)…” Source: The Merriam Webster Dictionary.   

So for now, I will follow with my personal idea:  

“Cybermagick as related to using computers to do magic(k)”. 

See this is in no ways related to the many magick areas nor religions practices, Grimoires, CM, Witchcraft, Chaos, ATRs, Candles, etc.

I think Cybermagick still is a bit far to become more than an idea to start for some usefull developments.

For now, all that is just data source for information and the cyber level, including internet, is really very basic on that. The way data (information), images, sounds, etc. is registered still use a method of translating that into "bits", just eletric energy alternating from 0 to 1 using a media like a hard-drive, pendrive, memory chips, etc. Multiply this by billions, billions, and all you will see is a giant big mess of 0s and 1s mixed. That famous image of data moving in the movie “Matrix” is really just poetic. That need a program (software), developed by humans to all that make sense and to execute something using that as grouped “patterns”.

And shit, please, we got bored at the most extreme point about newbies promoting debates about Matrix idea. Go back to Narnia and Harry Potter and 1001 Nights. That still is more advanced! IMHO for sure. 

Forget the high velocity of modern computers, which still are the same very basic systems used first in the past to control textile machinery. Just faster. I’m very serious about this. Go study.

I have worked developing software since the 70s and in magic/spiritual study and practice near same time. Therefore, I use to say I have a personal interest in the Human X Computer development and is interesting how many a company and human kind is related to that.

In addition, we are faraway of what the Star Trek's computer was able to do, like to process an entire solar system data in seconds and present information like "that are a planet M-class with current civilization level". But think for a second and that still is just a machine processing data. Yes, even Star Trek computer does not do magick, and even with our beloved Mr. Spock with all his Vulcan Mind Power capabilities working on it. Just to remember, Vulcans was great at mind control, a kind of magick too in someway.

So, as cited, what the difference for the Akashic Records? My personal experience going there is: the Akasha Records register everything, at all areas and realms. For some people, myself included, entering there appears you have entered in a kind of fog place, with partial symbols floating everywhere. This is why is good to have a target to go there, and this is the "key" to find what you want. Sometime one of that symbols may appear more clear and you "get it", like a door and enter in a complete scenario. Time, events, people, thoughts, everything is registered there. You may see events and be able to get the thoughts of each people there.

Computers are really far away from this.

Even the images you see at your computer screen are not the same as a drawing done with pencil and paper. This is why many people try to put seals in their computers and that works different. When it works. 

In practice, what is working there is mind and the magician intent. Not the computer. It’s the same to visualize a seal image, but without a drawing. The computer image in no ways can be seen as a valid drawn today. It may help you to remember how the image is, but it is not the true drawn seal.

In my personal opinion, this happens because the draw at the paper have already your intent registered. It became a tool used with energy to register the information of an intent! To magick, your pencil is a more powerful tool than any tablet.  

But the computer image, even if you put your own energy and have done it using some kind of paint software, still is a mess of 0s and 1s. To have a better idea, just look closer the screen, better if you use a magnifying glass. You will see the same at a TV screen: a lot of light dots. That is not a draw in the magic(k) point of view! Its just a lot of electric points.

Get this? You can see an image at the computer, but that still is not information.

So, sorry to my university teachers and IT colleagues, it is not really information. That data is something that "appears to be" information.

But to magickal use, information must be a whole think by itself.

This is what Cybermagick will last to happens for a time. I have my ideas about what human kind need to learn before reach that. For example, our civilization technology started with the wheel and the levers. Even software still use such concepts. That is the problem. This may evolve to the next level. But let’s keep so for now.

As I see, what we have working today, using “cyber technology” and there are some good examples, are one and other good oracle software and websites. But what really work there? The intent of the reader. Get this? A bad reader with the best of all oracle tools will not get a decent result. So, there are no cyber way to do the same.

What is really acting is the intent of the reader, his expertise and capability to deal with the tools used.

And intent is just the main power behind magick.

Magicians learn about working with "The Will". AC and others in modern times just made the word more popular.

Ok, there are already many works about but I like the idea. The problem is a lot of stupid people think “do your will” means the same as “do whatever you think”.

So think on this: you only have rights when you recognizes that others also have rights. So your “Will” start in the point where you recognize others also have a Will (even if unused).

Using your Will means you must be the true owner of your intent. But what most happens is people who are ruled by politics, religions, prejudices, partial personal opinions, society, etc. They are not using their Will. They are acting like parrots. A drugs addicted is ruled by the drugs. Religion can be a drug, politics is a drug, etc. It is not you, it is someone else point of view. This is the difference.

Ok, let us keep in the “intent”. This is the needed to work on magick. Have an intent and be able to work with it for some time. This is why so many stupid people are able to make the “evil eye”, and do it often. A very negative thing for sure. They may be stupid, but still be able to fix an intent for the needed time over a target.

If the current technology is not able to even register “information” in a more decent aspect, not just data, why expect it will be able to “act” or even simulate intent?

People who have gone deep in Crystal programming learn they are able to keep and even do more than any modern IBM computer. In the past, IBM had good evangelists who was not just promoting what they have to sell, some was real visionaries. I really miss this. I have not read something decent from them nor have seem this company nor the other big ones with interest to keep such works. Where are the good visionary’s works? I say people who works daily for the future, not immediate cheap results. Current computer companies are doing and promoting almost the same we saw at the 80s. Just with better graphics. Anything since then is just processing velocity and really few creativity nor true development.

But crystals, for example, use another methods and currently also need personal development to be able to connect and understand the information the crystal can register and process someway accordingly with the specific qualities each one may have. Sorry newagers, forgot the fantasy aspects even if that are always good to make movies and fairie tales. This is a technology still faraway of most scientist’s research. Well, I’m sure some may be trying to understand about psychometry, is a starting point. But again related to “whole information” idea.

And psychometry ideas and methods can be one of many ways to develop in the future a working Cybermagick.

The capability to a computer (with its software) to connect with the whole information related to some event.

This is the point when we will see something really new start: connect to information and be able to deal with it.

However, remember, as commented, magick is based on “intent”. And how you learned and develop to made it.

To finish, in my point of view, Cybermagick will become true when such mechanisms become able to “make and act” on an intent using “whole information”. Not just the current mess of 0s and 1s, but whole information under an intent.  

Easy to think a clay done Golem or Thralls are still more advanced in the aspect of “act”. The problem is how they work with the information they receive, and here become another point, how to ask or command, reasoning and etc. Uhm, remember HAL 9000 from the 2001 A Space Odissey?
